We are currently looking for self-motivated Electronics Quality Engineer to join our Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) team, capable of delivering solutions of the highest standard on fast paced and technically challenging projects.
Role Purpose

This exciting opportunity will give the successful candidate the responsibility of inspecting Electronic and electrical components to IPC standards. As part of the STA team, this position will ensure that Quality Assured parts are delivered from our External Suppliers on time, to specification and to the require quantities.

Role Specific Accountabilities:

• Responsible for inspecting Electronic and Electrical components to IPC standard
• Feedback to suppliers on any issues observed
• Complete SAP transactions for any work completed
• Reject (NCR) any non-conforming material
• Assist ERS build with any issues related to electronics assemblies
• Work should be completed to a pre-determined quality standard using approved methods, in which full training has been received
• Completion of inspected assemblies are accurately tracked at all times
• Work should be completed in line with agreed delivery schedules
• Develop inspection standards based on part number to capture previous issues
• Support assessment and introduction of new technology, identifying opportunities where possible

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

• Have proven experience of PCB inspection to IPC standards
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and understand the requirements and specification
• Evidence of a structured and data driven approach to problem solving
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge of general electronics
• Similar relevant experience of high quality engineering environment
• A thorough understanding of modern engine principals
• Full understanding of Health and Safety within the working environment
• PC literacy, including excellent proven experience of working with MS Office products

Qualifications

• Qualified to BTEC/HNC/HND level as a minimum within an Electronics discipline, with sufficient experience to demonstrate a high standard of capability
