Due to continued growth and exciting new projects, we are looking for skilled Performance Development Engineers for both are F1 and our Automotive Engineering Departments that are capable of delivering solutions of the highest standard on fast paced and technically challenging projects.


Role Purpose

1D Hybrid Power Unit thermodynamic design, simulation, and development

Role Specific Accountabilities


• Responsible for 1D engine system thermodynamic design, simulation, and development
• Responsible for design, simulation and development of hybrid aspects of the power unit influenced by thermodynamic performance.
• Delivering world class solutions of the highest quality in order to meet any automotive powertrain project targets
• Technical development of processes
• Quality of engineering solutions
• Championing best practice and technically challenging development of processes
• Communication of technical solutions to the customer
• Adherence to company policy, procedure and UK legislation

Knowledge, skills and experience required
 
Essential

• Solid knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
• Solid understanding of internal combustion engines and  hybrid powertrain system fundamentals and characteristics
• Experience in 1D modelling methods, capability with GT-Suite particularly advantageous

Desirable   

• Experience in high performance engine gas exchange development

Qualifications

Essential
 
• High grade degree in a relevant engineering subject (Minimum 2:1)

Desirable

• Chartered Engineer Professional Registration
